Ganesh Chaturthi (Ganapati Bappa Morya) Why we celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi for 9 Days

Ganesh Chaturthi is a beautiful festival this festival is celebrated on the Birthday of Lord Ganesh and it is also known as "VINAYAKA NAVARATHILU" Ganesh Chaturthi is mostly celebrated by Hindu's at olden days but know Muslim's are also part of it. Lord Ganesh is the Son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

Preparation of Lord Ganesha with sand (Go Green Ganesha) :

Preparation of Lord Ganesha with sand it takes minimum 20 days to prepare of Lord Ganesh. The shape and measurements of Ganesh idol will be decided by 30 year's Expert Designer of a team and every worker has 30 years of experience of making of Lord Ganesha idols and they have especially come from Orissa. Coming to the price tags of Lord Ganesha idol starts from Rupees Rs.25,000 to 3 lakhs. Here are some pictures of Lord Ganesh which is made of sand.

They use only water colours to spray on Lord Ganesh idol which does not affect environment and pollution.

Plaster of Paris (POP):

Plaster of Paris idol looks good with more smoothness and shine but plaster of Paris more dangerous and it takes months to dissolve in water. Plaster of Paris is nothing but a mixture of sand with cement and sometimes with lime water for spreading on walls pop is more expensive than cement. Pop idols are decreasing year by year we hope this time much better than last year but some how people should get Awareness of plaster of Paris.

Why we celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi for 9 Day's :

According to the Hindu Puranas we have 9 Navagrahas namely Surya(Sun), Chandra(Moon), Mangala(Mars), Budha(Mercury), Brihaspati (Jupiter), Sukra(Venus), Sani(Saturn), Rahu and Ketu for each graham we celebrate each day so it takes 9 days to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi. Vinayaka Chavithi puja with 21 different leaves at the 9th day called as Ganesh Nima-Janam all these leaves and Lord Ganesh idol will Neymar Janam in water all these 21 leaves have different medical speciality will dissolve and kills bacteria in water and purify it.
